Little things make a big difference . . .

You'll notice that our site is short on graphics, pictures and other types of media. This has a purpose in a well designed web site. Creating a site which comes online fast as is easy to navigate is of prime concern when we create a site for our clients. Of course, we cannot always design a site without a variety of photos, graphics and other media because of the type of site the client wants. However, when we do have to use photos and graphics we make sure they are optomized for the best look and screen refreat times.

.When creating, editing and designing content for the web, you need to get your message across as quickly as possible. To do that, say as little as possible, and put the most useful and relevant content first.

When a page is longer than its window, putting important content first gets it above 'the fold'. This helps the user decide quickly whether they're in the right place within your web site or not. Remove any paragraphs, sentences and words that don't directly help get your point across.

If you can find ways to say something in fewer words do so. This helps to make your site easier to navigate and help your visitors get the information you want to convey to them quickly.

Remember you're operating in an environment of low trust, and you only have a short opportunity to get your message across. Imagine you're stopping people on the street. Don't oversell, set out the facts plainly and clearly. Be enthusiastic, but not pushy.
